Yoga - You go within
Hi many of you may know that I’ve been teaching Hatha Yoga for over 25 years and for the last 16 of them in Taree in the Manning Valley on the Mid North Coast of NSW Australia.
I absolutely love the simplicity of Hatha Yoga and yet the depth and wisdom and calm you can experience is like nothing else.
Many of today’s health conditions, such as Poor Sleep, Stress, Asthma,...Posture related pains, High Blood Pressure.... depression and anxiety can all be greatly improved through gentle Yet strengthening stretches , deep conscious breathing and learned relaxation and meditation.
I teach from the heart and from my own inner experience of how this age old practices have helped me overcome my own health and emotional challenges over the years... I don’t know who I would be without the calming and stress releasing practices that I do... I have an extremely busy life style ...as do most of you, but never a day goes by without me plugging into some conscious deep breaths, even before getting out of bed...stretching even if it’s just one full body stretch and a moment of gratitude, self love for all I have achieved...Not what I didn’t manage to get through.
Most Yoga poses called ASANA relate to bones, muscles and organs in the body ...that when stretched, squeezed or Relaxed have an effect on the body the mind and in the Nervous System.
When you combine Asana (stretching) with Breathing practices known as Pranayama, you can create an opening within yourself for relaxation and calmness to come out....as I believe it always lives within us. ...we just need to do a few (gentle) practices to invite it to spread through us, especially if we have been tight in the body and stressed in the mind.
LOVE and PEACE and RELAXATION can’t flow when we are all bound up and in our worries and pain
My aim is to always help students find gentle ways to undo the inner knots we tie ourselves up in through our busy lives and allow the tensions to dissolve and the energy to flow......
